Hey Tony,
The LB Preamp is the only onboard preamp that I know of that works with the LB6 pickup on that guitar. Sadly, the original preamp has been out of production for decades now and there aren't any replacements available unless they're removed from other guitars.

There are a few options to keep those guitars playable, just not typically with the original electronics.
