so today while practicing for church i had a massive volume spike -- i turned down the VPDI but i don't know why it happened.

any suggestions/reasons? every other pedal turned off, it's spiked!

I've never heard of the VPDI causing any kind of volume spikes before. If it only happened once, you probably weren't able to troubleshoot cables, connections, etc. Is that right?

it was very odd -- we were rehearsing/playing and it just suddenly became louder and never went back down. i shut the entire thing down, started it back up and it remained at the volume it jumped to, during the church service it remained there.

Strange. If any oddities like that continue, let me know and I can help troubleshoot. Without a recurring issue, it's going to be difficult to be sure where the issue is originating.
